Russia finds previously missing plane with everyone being alive
Yevgeny Perfilyev, the minister of ecology, nature management, and forestry for Russia’s Sakha Republic, shared the update via Telegram, stating, “the plane has been found, everyone is alive.”
Earlier reports indicated that the Antonov An-2 aircraft had activated its emergency locator beacon while conducting forest protection operations in the Tomponsky district. This district, situated in the eastern part of the Sakha Republic in Siberia, is known for its remote, mountainous landscapes and dense forests.
Search and rescue operations had been carried out by Russia’s civil aviation authority, Rosaviatsia, to locate the plane and its passengers.
