South Korea, Vietnam Forge Stronger Ties Across Multiple Sectors

(MENAFN) South Korean President Lee Jae-myung and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong held a phone call on Thursday, during which they committed to strengthening bilateral relations by expanding collaboration across multiple sectors.

According to a statement from Lee’s office, the two leaders agreed to intensify joint efforts in critical areas, particularly high-speed rail development and nuclear energy.

A news agency reported that both presidents also emphasized boosting partnerships in science, technology, and innovation—with a special focus on high-tech industries—which they identified as a central component of their nations' strategic ties.

The two sides further agreed to maintain momentum through high-level engagements at regional and global events, including the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, according to the reports.
