Tajik Leader praises Russia for high-level collaboration
Rahmon pointed to the meetings of the Commonwealth of Independent States heads of government as a crucial forum for enhancing regional cooperation.
“Relations between our countries are developing dynamically,” he said.
Mishustin relayed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin, noting that Moscow deeply values its partnership with Dushanbe.
He highlighted that trade between Russia and Tajikistan rose by 7% to reach 44 billion rubles (approximately $489 million) during the first four months of 2025.
“We can increase our mutual deliveries and projects in machine-building, agriculture, mining, energy and many other spheres,” Mishustin said. He also mentioned the Days of Culture of Tajikistan being held in Moscow and Kazan as a testament to the growing cultural exchange between the two nations.
The Russian prime minister stressed that he and his Tajik counterpart, Qohir Rasulzoda, are dedicated to carrying out all decisions made by their countries’ leaders.
The meeting followed Rahmon’s recent visit to Russia, where he participated in Victory Day commemorations in Moscow, further highlighting the ongoing high-level contacts between the allies.
